History & Mythology of Panki Hanuman Mandir

The temple boasts a rich history spanning approximately 400 years and was established by Shri 1008 Mahant Parashostam Das Ji. According to legend, Mahant Parashostam Das Ji experienced a divine revelation while returning from Chitrakoot. He encountered a rock near the current site of the temple that bore a remarkable resemblance to the divine form of Bajrang Bali, another name for Lord Hanuman. Consequently, he decided to construct a temple at that location, which is now referred to as the Panki Temple.
